Conditions of the Authorisation

One agreement, covering several repertoires.
The works you use are the creations of authors and composers whose work is protected by law. Using them requires Authorisation granted to you by the authors’ collecting societies.
You sign a single contract/agreement with Sacem and SDRM. It covers works from the SACD (Society of Dramatic Authors and Composers), the SCAM (Civil Society of Multimedia Authors) and the ADAGP (Society of Authors in the Graphic and Plastic Arts), as well as those from foreign societies bound by reciprocal agreements.
  • Criteria

    • Your authorisation is granted in respect of the reproduction rights and the representation rights.
    • You are of legal age or the legal representative of a minor or a person under guardianship or trusteeship.
    • This authorisation does not cover moral rights or derivative rights such as the right to arrange, the right to adapt, the right to translate, etc. Nor does it cover Related rights.
  • Prices

    • Authors’ remuneration is proportional to the broadcaster’s resources.
    • The applicable base rate is 5 per cent.
This rate generally covers the repertoires of Sacem, SACD, SCAM, ADAGP and SDRM for Sacem’s Mechanical reproduction rights.
    • You use works from the repertoires of authors’ societies for the forms of exploitation defined in your Contract/agreement (e.g. transmission via cable, satellite, ADSL or fibre, terrestrial radio waves, etc.). This is a flat-rate authorisation that is not linked to the number of works used. You may therefore draw on the repertoires of the authors’ societies, subject, of course, to respect for the author’s Moral right.
