Community or individual podcast

Media and digital distribution

You would like to host audio programmes as podcasts on your website.

Conditions of the Authorisation

Behind every track you play, there are songwriters and composers. The law protects their work. Your Sacem Authorisation gives you access to their repertoire, with complete legal certainty. The royalties you pay go directly to them and reward their creative work.
  • Criteria

    • Your authorisation is granted in respect of the reproduction rights and the representation rights for the on-demand streaming and/or downloading of podcasts.
    • This authorisation does not, in particular, cover moral rights or derivative rights such as the right to arrange, adapt or translate works, etc. Nor does it cover Related rights.
    • You are of legal age or the legal representative of a minor or a person under guardianship or trusteeship.
    • For podcasts linked to a community or private web radio station, click here.
    • For podcasts linked to a private local radio station, click here.
    • For podcasts associated with a national radio station, click here.
  • Prices

    • Podcasts broadcast by radio stations
The agreements drawn up between the authors’ societies (Sacem, Scam and Sacd) and radio stations cover, in part, the broadcasting of podcasts allowing listeners to catch up on programmes (programme replays). Similarly, their broadcast on private local radio stations is also provided for in the contracts/agreements (arising from memoranda of understanding with the CNRA, the SIRTI and the SNRL).
    • Podcasts broadcast by web radio stations, aggregators and podcast sites
With regard to podcasts broadcast by web radio stations, aggregators or podcast sites, Sacem has established rates that take into account the duration of the musical works broadcast and the method of funding for the service and the organisation broadcasting it (association, private individual, local authority or commercial enterprise).
